With the first game of the season less than one week away, the Kansas football team is making its final adjustments for the season-opener against North Dakota State. The Jayhawks will open the 2010 season under first year Head Coach Turner Gill and a bevy of new faces.
It’s game week at the University of Kansas, and that means the return of Tuesday meetings with the media. Phog.net caught a few moments with first-year defensive coordinator Carl Torbush to hear him talk game prep, the benefits of facing the Kansas offense day in and day out, personnel packages and the improvement of Toben Opurum.
Kansas Athletics announced the $35 Tier 3 tickets to this Saturday’s season-opening football game versus North Dakota State are sold out. North Dakota State tickets are still available at the Tier 1 ($65) and Tier 2 ($60) levels.
Kansas head coach Turner Gill held his weekly press conference on Tuesday, Aug. 31. Gill looked ahead to his first season with the Jayhawks and first game against North Dakota State this weekend.

NFL teams just completed their third week of preseason games, and with the season opener looming, several former KU standouts looking to be on the final roster.
